64th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Neurology

It is our great pleasure to invite all of you Neurologists and Neuroscientists to join the 64th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Neurology which will be held at the Makuhari Messe, Chiba, from May 31st (Wednesday) through June 3rd (Saturday), 2023. It is the second time that this meeting is held in Chiba city since Professor Keizo Hirayama hosted the 34th meeting (1993) - it was actually 30 years ago! The Makuhari area is a specialized place to hold international congresses and various big events including live concerts and exhibitions. The venue has 6 official hotels (3000 beds available), nearby shopping centers, and many modern restaurants.
The theme of this annual meeting is "For a brilliant future of neurology". "Brilliant" means innovative therapies for neurological disorders with molecular target treatments, and also appealing expanded social roles of clinical neurology that covers common disease such as stroke, cognitive disorders, Parkinson's disease, and epilepsy, as well as intractable/rare neurological disorders. We aim to increase the recognition of brilliant neurology by society, citizens, and young doctors/residents/medical students.
It is a great honor, and all the members of our department are preparing in good faith. Due to the worldwide spread of the COVID-19 since 2019, the 61st to and 63rd annual meetings have been organized by a hybrid system. However we hope that you will meet with everyone in person at the 64th annual meeting, and have sufficient discussions and social gatherings.
The venue, Makuhari Mese, is located close to the Tokyo city center, JR Tokyo station (30 min. via Keiyo line), and Narita/Tokyo international airport (35 min. by a limousine bus). It is still in the Tokyo metropolitan area, but also has a local color of Chiba prefecture. Please join our meeting to learn and discuss the currently popular topics of brilliant neurology as well as to enjoy the social gathering and beauty of Chiba city.
